Service Desk Analyst

Job responsibilities:

Service Desk Analyst is responsible for proactive monitoring, performs remote operations and event handling for the Workplace Hub systems and related ecosystem applications as well as other infrastructure systems and applications

Key Responsibilities:
• Handling support cases as required by the defined processes
• Deployment and Management of the WPH test environment used for training and simulation purposes
• Dispatch of events requiring direct customer communication to Cluster / National assigned support teams via defined ITSM reporting tools
• Allocation and maintenance of know-how into knowledge databases and content management systems and creation and improvement of How-to documentation

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Very good knowledge of Linux systems, mainly Ubuntu LTS
• Understanding of BASH scripting skills
• Knowledge of SQL databases, networking and virtualization
• Knowledge of Network technologies (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, Firewall, Proxy)
• Ability to work with active Monitoring and Reporting technologies, familiar with ITSM/ITIL processes
• Knowledge of Backup and Restore principles (preferably based on Acronis technology)
• Security Principles awareness
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence)
• Good communication skills, fluent in English, spoken and written form and ability to work as a team is a must
